Welcome to Sondr!

As a 100% Belgian and independent post-production studio, we are a passionate collective with over a decade of experience and a wealth of knowledge in the art of post-production. The word "Sonder" encapsulates our belief in the realization that everyone has a unique story, and at Sondr, we are here to bring those stories to life.

This is the story of the daily struggles and little joys of Damien Samedi at the heart of a small Walloon village with incredible inhabitants. Stuck in the twists and turns of addiction, this effervescent man wavers between emptiness and euphoria, hesitating to join the ranks of normalcy. Driven by the relationship with his mother, an exuberant and solitary sixty-year-old, our dreamer searches for that young man who was left by the side of the road, in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Paloma Sermon Daï’s first feature-length documentary is selected in the Forum line-up of the 70th Berlinale. The jury of the 35th Namur International French-Language Film Festival awarded its Grand Prize to the Belgian title Petit Samedi. "An absolutely wonderful and incredibly modest film that’s overwhelming yet very funny, and beautifully shot", explained jury-member Samuel Benchetrit.
