Welcome to Sondr!

As a 100% Belgian and independent post-production studio, we are a passionate collective with over a decade of experience and a wealth of knowledge in the art of post-production. The word "Sonder" encapsulates our belief in the realization that everyone has a unique story, and at Sondr, we are here to bring those stories to life.

In 1565 Pieter Bruegel devoted a series of paintings to the various seasons of the year. He divided the year into six seasonal stages and created six paintings, two months per painting. However, one of these paintings has been lost, and only five remain. In 2019 Flanders commemorates the 450th anniversary of Bruegel’s death by curating various expositions. We had the honour of creating a contemporary version of Bruegel’s lost painting for the exposition ‘De Wereld van Bruegel’ in Bokrijk.

Conceptual artist Frits Jeuris created an elegant visual installation that evokes the spirit of the lost season. As with the paintings of Bruegel, new elements emerge wherever you look, little details, surprises and present-day symbolics. We welcome you to come discover the lost season for yourself at the exposition in Bokrijk!
